Vehicle history:
The Oldsmobile company is little known in Poland. Historically, however, it is a very old brand and one of the precursors of the global automotive industry. The history of the company is very "American". Its origins date back to 1983, when a steam vehicle was created. The situation prevailing among car manufacturers at the beginning of the 20th century in the USA resulted in the brand being taken over by General Motors. The founder of the brand, Mr. Olds, establishes a new REO company. Oldsmobile in the General Motors concern occupies a significant position due to its undeniable achievements, e.g. the first forced water cooling system of an internal combustion engine and multi-series production of cars. Olds models. are changed frequently, and the bodies are built in several other specialized plants. This situation gives the customer a lot of choice. The situation is no different with the SIX f-28 model, produced in 1928-1938 and offered in 12 body versions. This number of possibilities is probably why 84,635 cars were produced during 10 years of production. The reviewed vehicle belongs to the Landau body type, which is no longer seen today. A characteristic feature of this four-door body is the ability to partially fold the roof, which distinguishes this type of body from a very similar one known as a coach.
