Seller's comments about 1968' Opel Commodore

Hello to all old car enthusiasts. I have a very nice Opel Commodore A GS coupe for sale that needs renovation. The GS model with a double carburetor and significant interior details was produced in an estimated 600 pieces. This model number is 556, it has a sunroof, which makes it a very unique version. The car is top quality, original rims, radio, speakers, seats, most of the paint is original. Nowadays it is very difficult to find an original GS with factory equipment. I have had it for 5 years, it was imported from Germany and there have been no changes to it since purchase. No repairs were made in Poland, only the Germans did the floor, but I don't know at what level of accuracy. The car is a good base for restoration. (I don't have time for this project at the moment) I have a lot of parts for this car and original documentation such as the original service parts list, electrical diagrams, etc. After complete professional renovation, it will look great, as in two photos from the heyday of this car. The styling of the car refers to American muscle cars, which is not surprising because the designer of this car was an American commissioned by GM. It was supposed to create a muscle car for the European market under the Opel banner. The Opel Commodore GS is a sports passenger car produced by the German company Opel in 1967-1971. This model was launched as a more luxurious and efficient version of the popular Rekord model. It was the second generation of this car and was available in two body versions: sedan and coupe. The car was characterized by an elegant and sporty appearance, with clear lines and muscular proportions of GM cars. Under the hood there was a 2.5-liter engine with a double carburetor, found only in this version of the GS, which generated 130 HP. Thanks to this, the car achieved impressive performance for its time, reaching a top speed of approximately 180 km/h. The interior was luxurious and comfortable, providing comfortable space for the driver and passengers. The car was also equipped with various amenities such as a sunroof, air conditioning and a radio. The Opel Commodore GS 1968 was a popular model in its time, enjoying recognition among both sports car enthusiasts and those looking for a comfortable and elegant car. Its unique style and efficiency contributed to consolidating the position of the Opel brand on the car market. The car can be seen in Lublin. Welcome Bartosz
