1979' Opel Kadett Coupe 1.2 S

HERE IS A VERY RARE CAR NOWADAYS
It started Life as a 1979 Opel Kadett Coupe 1.2 S Automatic Fitted with an Ultra Rare Factory fitted Steel sunroof and was Sold to Mrs M Manin from Kent by Western Motor Works who still are in business.
I know this as i have the Original Opel service booklet and Handbook.
The car was at some stage in the 2000's transformed from it's 1200 cc automatic form to a 2.0 16 valve Redtop engine from a Calibra/Astra Gsi
This was then mated with a 5 speed Opel Manta Gearbox which fitted like a glove as the car had the bigger Automatic Gearbox tunnel from New.
A Rear axle from an Opel Manta with the Added bonus of a Limited Slip differential was Also fitted.
A Willwood up graded Brake master cylinder along with Up graded Front brake calipers and disc's.
It runs on the standard Reliable Fuel injection system and a Four branch manifold and Up graded Flow tech Exhaust system.
It has Bilstein shocks and Lowering springs also fitted and a New set of 7 X 13 Superlite wheels.
There was a Fortune spent on this Transformation and the work was Carried out to a Great Standard.

The car came to Ireland in 2006 and unfortunately it has been Out doors since and the Body work has deteriorated.
I have New pattern front wings,sills,rear arches and a Good second hand drivers door and all that is Needed is a lower door skin for the left hand door.
The main structure of the car is Solid as a Rock especially the Rear boot floor,main floor pans chassis rails and front valences.
I am told by my panel beater mate that it is Original paint and the clock only shows 45000 miles which i believe to be Genuine but i have not checked it.
It comes with the Original Rostyle wheel in the boot with the Original Tool kit and jack.
We started the car last week after nearly three years of standing and it Runs Beautifully and Very quietly for a Red Top with No Tappet noise.
The rear brakes will need attention as they are sticking from being standing.
The car is a wolf in sheep's clothing as to Look at it, it appears to be standard Bar the wheels.
It still has the Original S velour beige seats which are in Good order but i Also have a Recaro interior from a GTE Opel Manta that could be included in the sale for a Decent offer if wanted.

IT IS WITH A VERY HEAVY HEART I OFFER THIS FOR SALE AS I JUST DO NOT HAVE THE TIME AND PATIENCE TO OVER SEE ANOTHER RESTORATION PROJECT AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS back to it's former Glory.
