Seller's comments about 1947' Plymouth Special Deluxe
A cool two-door classic thats fully built with V8 power, an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a sleek style. This special build even has a Corvettes fully independent suspension. It all makes for the kind of complete custom build that leaves you wanting for nothing. This car has a terrific classic style. These were similar to the pre-war Plymouths, so the design is pure Americana. But there are also the right hints that this is an upgraded machine. You see everywhere from the custom pinstriping to polished alloys with Mopar center caps. And the maroon paint has the nice gloss of a later application. So it really lets the sunshine highlight classic curves every time you take this out for a drive (and as you look at the full features, youll know this one was made to hit the road.) The brightwork looks good against the deep color on the wraparound chrome bumpers, sharply-pointed grille, and the full-length trim that even incorporates the door handles. And the classic Plymouth sailboat hood ornament is always a great piece to have leading the way. The interior is a terrific upgraded package that also keeps the right vintage touches. For example, you still have two rows of classic bench seating, but now they are done in a comfy tweed cloth. The headliner, trunk, and custom flame-kissed door panels were all done to coordinate. The dash keeps the classic and bright Art Deco style, but at the bottom, you now have upgrades like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The wood-rimmed Grant sports steering is on a tilt column, and that gives you a clear view to the classic-style AutoMeter gauges. This had plenty of subtle hints inside and out about an upgraded machine, but the big air grabber lets you know the engine bay doesnt disguise it at all. Youll instantly recognize the upgrade to this bright and tidy 350 cubic-inch V8. It has been built with the right features, like aluminum heads and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. Plus, the Corvette insignia on the valve covers is a preview of the suspension. You have the front arms and transverse leaf spring rear out of a 1999 Corvette. Oh yes, this 47 Plymouth is sitting on a fully independent suspension! Youve also got the Vettes four-wheel disc brakes and a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. This is the cool coupe that has the right features to be impressive at the cruise-in and comfortable enough for the Power Tour. Thats an awesome kind of total package that you know you need in your garage. Call today!!!
