This 1979 Pontiac Firebird not only has the look of an earlier Formula coupe, but theres also sharp paint, a sports suspension, and an A/C interior. It makes for both an impressive and affordable coupe. This is a very cool coupe. After all, some of us regard 1976 as one of the best design years for the 2nd gen Firebird, and so this 1979 model was given a full retro conversion. They even made sure to give it the 1975 tail lights and rear bumper. So unless someone really knows their VINs, most people at cars & coffee will just assume this 1979 Esprit is a 1976 Formula. This is a comprehensive package where you get the three-piece rear spoiler, Rally II wheels, and the cool rocker stripe thats an awesome mix of black and blue. And of course, no Formula would be complete without a dual scoop hood. Plus, the good body lines and clean white paint give this a great total cruiser attitude. The black interior has a nice sense of style against the black rocker stripe on the outside. Its clean, dark, and quite comfortable. You even have cold-blowing air conditioning. Plus, this feels like a real drivers car. You have high-back front bucket seats with an armrest center console in-between. The classic Pontiac sports steering wheel is on a tilt column. And theres a proper full gauge package with a large speedo and tach. Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8, and more of this cars incognito style makes this upgrade look quite stock and correct. Youll also spot nice upgrades like an HEI distributor and an Edelbrock intake. This makes for a solid drivers coupe that makes a sweet tune out of the dual exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers. Subframe connectors and sway bars front & rear make for a nice sports car experience. And the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide BF Goodrich T/As give you a solid any-time cruiser. This is the classic Firebird made to be an even more desirable 76 Formula. So if you like value and style in your V8-powered classic, this is the one to have. Call today!!!
