The legendary 356 was the first production model ever produced by Porsche in 1948. It drew inspiration from the iconic VW Beetle with its design, however its precision build quality and attention to detail saw it marketed as a luxury sports coupe. A few years later, the 356 SC model was released in 1964 as a top of the range version of their “C” model line. These coupes were the final instalment of the highly successful 356 model range and with the impending release of the new 911, Porsche wanted to finish on a high note and thus created their most powerful production engine for the SC model. The new 1600cc engine produced 97bhp with a top speed of 185km/h. This Porsche 356 SC was sold new in Sydney, Australia in 1964. The car was used regularly until the late 1970s where it went into storage for a period of time. It changed ownership several times until the previous owner bought the vehicle in the late 1990s. During his ownership the car received extensive maintenance work including a top-end engine rebuild and a respray in its original white colour. The vehicle comes with a large history file including its original delivery certificate, receipts for works carried out and details of ownership. It presents today in excellent overall condition. *Test Drive And Viewing by Appointment Only
