Seller's comments about 1970' Porsche 911

Convertible feelings developed among Porsche buyers at the time with an open folding window ("soft window") behind the B-pillar and an open targa roof, which, with the advantage of a "safety bar", represented another important sales argument and safety component.
Unfortunately, there were production-related defects, especially in colder temperatures, which meant that the flexible plastic rear window did not close well and production was stopped again shortly afterwards. A Targa example with option 437, i.e. with a soft, retractable rear window, was only available for special order for the 70s models and is therefore a rarity today, as only 858 pieces of the Targa E model left the factory. Exactly how many of the soft window versions there were is unfortunately not comprehensible due to the fact that this was an equipment option and this was not reflected in the chassis number. So we are only talking about a very small number of these custom-made products!
There is currently no similar model offered in Minerva Blue in Europe, so you have the chance to get an absolute collector's item in perfect condition with an Austrian historical registration.
The 911 is registered, ready to drive, the §57a inspection is currently being carried out (TÜV valid until 01/2026), the clutch and momentum were recently renewed and the track was freshly adjusted. A total of over €35,000 has been invested in the last few months! The overall condition can therefore be given a condition grade of 2, taking into account that only a few small details (the Targa seals cause wind noise, for example) on the classic car still need to be improved and that there are minimal signs of wear.
The engine can be assigned a mileage of around 3,000 km since the partial restoration. So this has only just been retracted.
As you can see from the pictures, a glass pane is currently installed instead of the soft window, although dismantling has already been clarified with a Porsche specialist workshop and would be an interesting option for a new owner, considering that this would significantly increase the vehicle's value.
Engine & transmission can be described as “matching”. There is also a birth certificate, which proves that the delivery country was Germany, and that the vehicle originally left the factory in "1310 Bahiarot". Restoration photos and a folder full of invoice receipts are also available.
The 911 can be viewed and test driven by appointment (appropriate purchase interest and creditworthiness are required). Of course, assuming dry road conditions.
