From a private collection, this Porsche 912 manufactured in August 1965 belongs to the first generation of 912, with a dashboard painted in the body color, only 3 pressure gauges and a 5-speed gearbox. In 1965, Porsche ceased operations in August to provide workers with a summer vacation, within the Porsche community it was suggested that 912s built before this break could be considered 1965 model year cars, and those built after were the 1965 model year. from 1966. Porsche archives indicate that only around 1,500 cars were built with the dashboard painted in the body color. This example delivered to Germany in 1965, (a very rare German version equipped with the 356 B heating system) was imported to Portugal in 1969, having undergone a complete restoration, which was completed in 2023.
