The Renault Caravelle was a roadster released by the Renault company, which was built between 1958 and 1968. Between 1958 and 1962 the car was sold in Europe as Renault Floride.
The Floride was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1958. The car, designed by Pietro Frua of coachbuilder Ghia, was built on the chassis of the Renault Dauphine and also featured its 845 cc 35 hp engine, which was placed in the rear. The car was available in both coupe and convertible versions. In addition to the basic model, Renault launched a more powerful version, designed by Amédée Gordini, which had 40 hp. In 1964 the engine was replaced by an 1108 cc engine from the Renault 8 with an output of 55 hp.

Der Floride wurde 1958 auf dem Pariser Autosalon presented.
