1929 Riley 9 MKIV Tourer - now reserved Vintage models of the Riley Nine have always been highly regarded and sought after. The MKlV fabric bodied tourer particularly so, being light, nimble and sporting in character. This excellent 1929 example was registered on 1st June that year. Acquired by a prominent VSCC member in poor condition during the 1990’s, the car had originally been a Monaco saloon and was totally rebuilt as a MklV Tourer. The rebuild was to an exemplary standard and subsequently meticulously maintained. The current owner purchased the car several years ago as he was seeking a car suitable for VSCC Light Car events and also for touring. During this ownership much care has been lavished on the car and a new set of Blockley tyres have been fitted. Events entered by the present owner include the Pomeroy Trophy and a number of driving tests. The car also won the Vintage Class concours at a local show. Fully equipped with very good weather equipment, this delightful Riley is ready for new adventures. It is certainly one of the best MklV Tourers we have had the pleasure to offer for some years.
