The car was found as a barn find in 1976 and with the roof missing. Since then the car has been the subject of constant rebuild and updating. So at this point it is worth stating that this car would not be for the purest but would suite somebody who would like to own and drive a car of charm with some logical updates but know that further work needs to be done but acquire it for a lot less than a factory drop-head.
The car is powered by a 1800cc MGB engine with an overdrive gearbox. If you have ever driven a 1500 Rm series car you will notice just how much nicer this car moves along and will return you 30 mpg on a run. It has a brand new aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan. Brand new alternator, spin on oil filter, new remote brake servo, fully hydraulic brakes, brand new clutch kit just fitted, new electric fuel pump, carbs rebuilt with new needles, jets etc. Brand new wiring loom from Autosparks and professionally wired in at a cost of £650. New bespoke hood frame made along with fabric hood and hood bag. Five new Dunlop tyres, new front copper brake pipes along with new flexy hoses. The paintwork is getting tired but has no serious rust problems the car could be used as is for many years as is or do a little work and have it resprayed. The interior has a nice period feel to it but again it is getting tired. Front seats tilt forward to allow access to the rear of the car. Some dials are not original but could be changed back if correct ones are found. The car is sixty eight years old and I have tried to paint a true picture of her but as I say he has charm elegance and reliability. I will consider a sensible offer on the asking price.
