Seller's comments about 1939' Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Wraith
One of only 491 Wraiths built, our car, chassis number WLB 39 is fitted with a Park Ward limousine body with electric central division and fold out occasional seats. It has undergone a complete mechanical and body restoration including new upholstery, wood veneer, wilton carpet, new chrome and a re paint. Mechanically the engine has been re built, with no head or overheating issues, re cored radiator,re wired, axle, gearbox, prop shaft all good, stainless exhaust system,re built hydraulic in board jacking system, excellent 2k painted chassis, new twin fuel pumps,re built gaited rear springs,re built independent front suspension,re built hubs and brakes, good Firestone tyres, etc.etc. The car was originally purchased new from a York Rolls Royce dealership by the ROYAL NAVY to be used as top brass transport and was rumoured to have been used by Lord Mountbatten, the first sea Lord, the mount for the roof pennant remains in place. We have a very interesting history file with photos of the car during different stages of its life both in the UK and when it was in America. We have won many awards including best car in show at the prestigious CHATSWORTH COUNTRY FAIR. This is very reluctant sale,i have other restoration projects and have not got the space to keep this very impressive motor car.
