For sale is my 1968 Rover P5B coupe in arguably the most desirable spec and colour combo. Owned for over 7 years it's now time for a change.

It's a decent condition car that I used in the early years as a summer drive around but it's recently spent most its time in the garage due to other commitments. The previous owner did a full restoration (which I have a ream of paperwork and photos from), however like me he used it as a runner, rather than a pristine show car.

The body work is in overall good condition but there are a few areas with small amounts of bubbling. These areas as the bottom of the boot lid and the drivers side rear arch, both of which I've included photos of. All of the pillars and sills are still in nice condition. Paintwork and brightworks are all in nice condition too, she does polish up well.

Engine runs well and last year was put on a rolling road for tuning. She cruises along nicely and pulls cleanly. Gearbox changes cleanly and kickdown works well although when cold, the gearbox can give a thump when first engaging gears. Power steering unit has been refurbished but does still give the occasional drip here and there.

Interior of the car is very nice, seats are plush and really as good as new. Carpet is in decent shape but not as good as the seats. Wood interior is generally nice but a few areas where the laquer is a little worn through. All dials and gauges are working although speedo and tacho are a little on the optimistic side. A modern radio is fitted into the glovebox.

In my opinion this car is at somewhat of a crossroad in its life. It would be a good car for someone who wants a P5B coupe that they can and cruise, and not be frightened everytime they park it somewhere. However it would also be a good blank canvas that someone could touch up and take to the next level and turn it into a real head turner.
