Seller's comments about 1964' Sunbeam Alpine Gt Mk4

Sunbeam Alpine GT MK4 1964

For sale is my Sunbeam Alpine GT MK4 in midnight blue
I have owned the car for the last 27 years and due to a change in circumstances I sadly have to let her go.
I'm only the 3rd owner and the mileage of 60696 is guaranteed & has an MOT until mid August 2022
The Alpine is by no means in concours condition but is in great solid condition for a usable classic or a base for an easy and stunning restoration.
The light blue interior is in tidy condition complete with wood veneer dashboard and wooden rimmed GT steering wheel.
The dashboard has a nice patina with some lacquer cracks, all dials work except the rev counter and the horn is a button on the dash rather than the horn ring on the steering wheel.
The removable original hard top is in the same midnight blue and has the Plexiglas windows which are in reasonable condition, the roof lining is complete. The bottom frame has some rust bubbling but again is in overall solid condition
It has its full tonneau cover with it
The wheels are white steel with chrome hubcaps.
The boot is totally solid complete with original liner, spare tyre and tools.
The engine is 1592cc with 4 speed non overdrive gearbox and maintains great oil pressure and runs and ticks over smoothly
Always starts with no problems and has an electronic starter fitted.
The engine & bay is clean with no leaks.
It has had a stainless steel exhaust fitted which gives it a lovely throaty sound.
The brightwork is in good condition throughout.
The midnight blue paintwork shines nicely but does have some water drop marking to it which appeared a few years ago. There is a break in the paintwork on the front scuttle at the bottom of the windscreen that was there when I bought it which was caused by a brick being thrown from a road bridge and hitting it.
Also included is the original owners manual, service schedule poster, lots of MOT's and invoices from its lifetime.
All in all this Alpine is a great example of an underrated fine British classic car which along with low mileage, just 3 owners and history makes this a rare opportunity to purchase.
Viewing is welcome in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
