1969 TOYOTA CORONA PICKUPThe 1969 Toyota Corona Pickup (part of the RT40 series) is a rare coupe utility variant of the third-generation Corona. Known as a 'bakkie'or 'ute' in different regions, it was designed as a light commercial vehicle combining the passenger car's comfort with a flatbed for cargo. Originally equipped with a 1. 9L or 1. 5L 3R-C four-cylinder motor producing roughly 70-90 horsepower. Typically featured a four-speed manual or a two-speed 'Toyoglide'automatic. Notable for its 'shovel-nose' front-end styling and a roomy cabin for a compact truck of its era. Performance: Capable of a top speed of approximately 90–95 mph. Today, the 1969 Corona pickup is a highly sought-after 'JDM' (Japanese Domestic Market) classic and a rare sight at car shows. Because so few survive in original condition, well-preserved or restored models often command significant attention from vintage Toyota collectors. This rare survivor dates to 1969 and is showing 10400 miles. Imported from South Africa, this pickup has a UK V5, Nova and import certificates.
