1948' Triumph Roadster Tr 1800

Triumph Roadster TR1800, 1948, the car completed a three year body off restoration which was finished in November 2016, after being off the road since 1972.
Chassis was stripped and renovated with new copper brake pipes, new seals to master cylinder with re sleeved brake slave cylinders and new linings.
Body received new ash timberwork to, both doors, door sills, door rockers, A posts, B posts, screen top rails and a new plywood floor.
Shock absorbers were reconditioned with rubber bushes.
The engine was reconditioned with a solid copper head gasket, new rings, new small end and big end bearings, valve springs, timing chain, timing chain guide and new clutch, with a new stainless steel exhaust system and new gear change linkage.
The car was rewired throughout with halogen head lights and flashing indicators, new electric fuel pump and electric radiator fan. The original indicators are still present but not wired in.
Most of the chrome has been re chromed and the exterior of the car is finished in dark blue with new door handles.
The interior of the car has been completely reupholstered in Grey Connolly hide with dark blue carpets and a refurbished wooden dashboard.
The hood is black and made from duck fabric with matching hood cover.
