In red with a black interior. This pretty TR went to the US when new and returned to the UK in the early nineties when it received a chassis up restoration, for which there are lots of invoices and photos. It has a Surrey top fitted with both the hard and soft panels, both of which are in very good condition. The gearbox has overdrive and the wheels are Minilite type alloys. It remained with the owner until a couple of years ago when it was sold after a period of little use. Maidstone Sports Cars carried a comprehensive re-commissioning exercise for the new keeper which included a brake overhaul, suspension and steering bushes work, an aluminium radiator with an electric fan, carburettor setting up, and detailed mechanical attention throughout the car.Electronic ignition was fitted and the headlights were replaced with halogen units. Finally a new set of Pirelli Cinturatos went on to the alloy wheels. An invoice for £8, 500 in the file details all the work. The bodywork and underside of the TR are virtually rustfree and there is no bubbling on the panels. The chassis is excellent and the paintwork still presents very well after all these years.Inside there is very little wear and all the fixtures are smart and in very good order. The Triumph drives well and feels tight.A striking TR4a without the rust issues that these cars can suffer from, and priced fairly to reflect that it is an older restoration. Please visit our website for more pictures.Percival Motor Company can recommend transport companies and finance providers.
