Seller's comments about 1935' Vauxhall Light Six 14 Deluxe

Here is a lovely old Vauxhall 14 Deluxe 4-door saloon with the straight six 1782cc engine, putting out 43bhp and four speed gearbox. The car is finished in Aubergine and black and has the original blue leather interior.
It starts, stops and runs exactly as a 30's car should and with the 6 cylinder engine is surpringly smooth. A real luxury car in its time.
For it age, now 87 years, it is in very presentable condition, and although not concours, it is up to the local show or club meet standard. The patina is charming, and it would spoil it to change anything. Its a perfectly driveable, reliable classic and ideal as a family entry to 1930s motoring. To my knowledge it has no hidden faults and I have driven it regularly
In recent years, work has included a new electric fuel pump, new carb, new headlining and chrome, plugs, distributor and regulator. It runs excellent oil pressure and the trafficators still work. It was on 12v electrics from new which is a big advantage.
Paintwork on the bonnet has lifted along the edge - see pics- but doesn't detract from the overall fine looks. It is excellent underneath and the tyres are in very good condition. Altogether a fine example of the now-rare Vauxhall.

Please Note
I am in my 60s, and love this era of car. I have bought a sold a few over the last few years. I have a full time job in another industry, so this is my part-time hobby. I say this to be totally upfront with prospective buyers.
If you have never driven cars of this age, you need to be aware that they don't drive like a 2022 Tesla. Steering, brakes, handling and performance have significantly improved in 90 years, so it is an altogether different experience driving a 1930s car. More challenging for sure, but great fun.
Sold with no warranty or guarantee, and viewing is welcome.
I can arrange delivery anywhere in UK if required.
Again because of the age, these types of car will require more maintenance and repairs over time, so don't expect a modern car. Ideal entry point to 1930s ownership.
