Offered is a rare 1951 VW Beetle standard saloon. The ownership history can be traced back to 1998. Back then the Beetle was registered in the Netherlands. In 2013 it arrived in Germany into the hands of an antique car workshop operator. He had to part with the VW for health reasons. The car is registered and has a TÜV and an H-approval certificate. Also a VW birth certificate is available. According to this, the car was delivered to Brussels in 1951.There is an invoice from 2009 for a gearbox overhaul. In 2014 the interior was renewed (material costs invoiced at €1, 787). The engine number ends with an “X”, which means it is an original exchange unit from Volkswagen. The engine has the code “D”. This type was built from 1965 and has 1. 2 l with a solid 34 hp. "In the 1950s VW drivers who covered over 100, 000 km with the original engine were awarded an engraved VW watch. For the car there were plaques for inside and outside." That is unthinkable today. The engine bay is very clean and the engine runs very nicely. The grey “standard model” is probably rarer today than the “export version”.A genuine collector's item, ready to go!For the car there are German vehicle papers, the VW birth certificate, TÜV (04/ 26) and the H-approval certificate. The sale is by order of the customer._viewings are welcome by appointment. _More classics in stock. Our entire vehicle stock can also be found at: - details aboveWe also inform about our latest additions on Instagram: klassischefahrzeugemarioengelsWe speak English, please feel free to ask any question.
