Welcome back to the amazing and ever-changing inventory of Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta. Today we are proud to present you this amazing 1959 Volkswagen Beetle Sunroof Sedan in a beautiful light green over tan interior with a matching tan top. The paint on this beetle has been kept very well, and shows no major flaws. When walking the vehicle, you will notice that the body lines are straight, the chrome has been maintained properly, and the top seems to be brand new. These rear engine powered machines have continued to make a steady increase in value over the past few years, with a solid jump of more than doubling their price in just the year of 2022 so far. The economy and state of the world may be uncertain, but one thing that remains certain is the price increase in late 50s Volkswagen Beetles. Upon opening the driver side door, you are met with a gorgeous light-tan interior lined with baseball-glove brown leather accents. These include the handles on the door, the lining around the upholstery, and lining on each door. Through the steering wheel you will see a gorgeous color-matched green dash surrounding an old-style speedometer with beautiful blue accents and a fuel gauge to the right. In the middle of the dash sits an Aurora Design FMR-1 radio, styled to look like an original and optioned to have AM/FM, Auxiliary, and Bluetooth options. This radio connects to multiple clear-sounding speakers in order to fill the cab with whatever tunes the next owner chooses. Under the dash sits a gorgeous woven basket under the dash for that extra original look, and splitting the seats is the 4-speed shifter and a yellow knob that allows for access to the heater. Sitting under the trunk of this Bug is a 1600cc, air-cooled, horizontally opposed, long block engine mated to an aforementioned 4-speed manual transmission. This engine was rebuilt by Darryls Vintage Air-Cooled Volkswagens out of Neosho, MO, just a few years ago. Included in the sale is the receipts for this rebuild as well as the manual for the Aurora radio and receipts from when it was professionally installed. Located on the top is a like-new sliding sunroof that was one of three body styles offered by VW. This sliding sunroof makes for a great in-between of a sedan and a convertible, without the frame flexibility of the convertible and confinement of the sedan. Dont miss your shot to own this gorgeous piece of Volkswagen history and give us a call today for more information or to schedule a time to take a look yourself!
