The 'People's Car' had many variants from 1938 until the end of production in 2003 and, although the sedan version was the most practical and popular, the success of the Volkswagen encouraged the creation of a cabriolet version. in charge of Karmann, a bodybuilding company founded in the 19th century, and which in 1949 began production of the first cabriolet Beetles. This 1300 was sold new in January 1966 in Chicago, USA. It maintains all its original features and is 'full matching numbers', that is, it has the same 1285 cc 50 HP engine with which it left the factory in 1965.
