1956' Volkswagen T2 Pick-Up

Is this the best T2 pick-up in exsistence?
It certainly is the best one available on the market today!
First supplied to North America in 1956 before being imported to the UK in 2016 when it was then registered and used as a show stand for the former owners company. The patina was great and was a more than worthy focal point on their exhibition stand.
Before long it was then decided that the Pickup should be restored. It was handed to the very well known and respected VW specialists AbsoluteVW who, after their initial appraisal then set to work.
Initial findings proved that this T2 was in fine fettle structurally meaning that very little metal work was needed. The vehicle was stripped, Sand blasted and the restoration then began.
Thousands of hours and over £120000. 00 (plus the purchase cost) later, the results stand here today. All parts sourced and replaced were done so using either NOS or restored original parts to allow for a Factory finish + quality - All panels remain original too. The whole vehicle was rewired with a period correct wiring loom with the lights benefitting from an LED upgrade all around, the brakes were upgraded to Willwood discs and the suspension was replaced for Spax Adjustable coilovers which inspires confidence when using this T2 on the road.
The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt using genuine parts to a standard spec other than a stainless steel exhausts system and a twin carburettor set up/ modernisation for it to run on the most modern of fuels such as E5 and E10. The addition of a full fire trace system was also installed to ensure the risk of engine bay fires were also eradicated giving the next custodian full piece of mind when driving.
The coach work can only be described as perfection. The panels are pin sharp as are the panel gaps the the truck bed also has a glass finish to the paint and is detailed with hard wood slats to help when carrying cargo. This T2 also comes with a full custom made canopy with a canvas cover for the truck bed and a matching cab roof rack too.
The cabin has also benefited from a full custom trim by Harris tweed mirroring the finish of the coach work on the outside. The bench had been upgraded to a sprung based seat for added comfort and the addition of a bluetooth stereo system has also been added too!
This T2 WILL be a show winner - It just needs to be taken to the show ! No stone has been left unturned - The attention to detail is just remarkable.
