Volkswagen T1 Pritsche 1968 | 1.6 | Low Rider | New USA tarpaulin | 3 peopleFor sale Volkswagen T1 Pritsche from 1968 - Brazilian production, registered and used in Poland. I bought the car for myself and for recent years it has been part of my private collection of classic Volkswagens. It was never purchased with resale in mind. From the beginning, my goal was not a perfect museum renovation, but to create a car that you can drive, enjoy and use during trips, photo sessions or events. In recent years, the car has served as an advertising and image car for projects related to tourism and the rental of apartments at the Polish seaside. The most important information* Year of production: 1968* Brazilian production* Registered in Poland* 3 seats in certificate* 1.6 engine* Manual gearbox* Odometer reading: approx. 68,000 km* The car is in good working order, drives and is used regularly. Work performed* The original 1.5 engine was replaced with a 1.6 unit with a mileage of approximately 20 hours.* Before installation, the engine was disassembled, checked and sealed in the specialist Manufaktura Classiców workshop in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.* The change significantly improved the driving comfort and flexibility of the car compared to the factory 1.5 unit.* New steel sides were made.* A new frame for the tarpaulin was made.* A completely new tarpaulin was purchased, handmade by an American factory specializing in Volkswagen T1 and T2. The total cost of purchase, transport and import fees exceeded PLN 10,000. The tarpaulin has not been installed yet.* The regenerated exhaust system (sandblasting and muffler renovation) ensures a very pleasant, deep engine sound. The character of the car The car was lowered by the previous owner in Great Britain, thanks to which it has the characteristic atmosphere of a classic Low Rider and stands out from most other T1s. The paint was done before my purchase. The car looks very good visually, attracts a lot of attention and arouses interest practically everywhere it appears. It is not a fully restored collector's item. If someone would like to bring the car to the level of a perfect exhibition car, it is worth paying attention to a few details in the future, including the cabin floor. However, this does not prevent normal use and enjoyment of driving. The car is not a project to assemble - it is functional, drivable and ready for the season. Additional information The car has repeatedly taken part in photo sessions, promotional materials and events related to tourism and classic motoring. An expert's opinion has been prepared for the vehicle. Documentation and history of the work performed are available to interested parties.
