Seller's comments about 1968' Volvo
With a heavy heart, I am selling my apple of my eye, which I have been taking care of for the last few years... It could be true, but it is not. I am selling a vintage car that I bought with emotions. And which turned out to be a great disappointment, mainly due to age. He's too old for me. And it's not a Mercedes. And there is no automatic transmission. And probably something else. The condition is quite good. In any case, it drives quite well, even. There is no need to describe the advantages, let's focus on the disadvantages so as not to be disappointed. - the front left fender needs to be replaced. The previous owner "repaired" it, so there is no pressure. - You'd have to play around with the electrician a bit, because not everything works. - You have to glue the rear window closing device to the window. I've already done it once, but I didn't think that when returning home on a potholed road without protection, it would come off. - it would be a good idea to replace the front sled. - the front wishbone should be replaced. - it would be worth replacing the tires, because they remember the first owner. - the interior would need to be worked on a bit. A little about the history of the car. Apparently, because I know it from the stories, but it coincides with historypojazdu.gov.pl, the car was bought by a man from Sopot in 1968 and until 2024 its permanent garage was this city. During this time, it changed ownership twice, but only in this millennium. This year, it also obtained historic documents, yellow registration, and perpetual inspection. And in the spring of 2024, it was bought by me, which resulted in the car changing its address to Gdansk after 56 years. NOTE: If anyone wanted to check the history of the vehicle themselves , then you need to remove XXX from the entered VIN - I had to add it due to poor validation VIN on the otomoto website, which does not include cars with a short VIN. I haven't driven the car in practice, maybe I've done 100 km in total. Maybe 120 km. In addition to what I wrote earlier, there is also the fact that I simply don't like this car. The renovations that were carried out on the car and that I know about include the floor being welded (welded, not replaced) and the sills cleaned. And the carburetor was thoroughly regenerated. So the car really drives well if you know how to drive it. As you can see in the video, I don't know how to do it - my habit of modern cars with automatic transmission means that I don't press the gas pedal enough. The car comes with: - bodywork parts (if I remember correctly, front fenders and hood) - windshield (the original one is in good condition). , but once I got it to the car, I gave it back too) - Volvo radio, working (there was another one in the car that didn't work, I'll add it too) - original side mirror (now there's another one, strange, probably from the Polish automotive industry) Currently I'm waiting for some free time, then I'll try to take more photos that would better show the condition of the car. And maybe even a movie. And if anyone got here and wants to see another movie from the Volvo, please visit https://youtu.be/vINwDlmECx0
