For sale is a unique, collector's copy of the Volvo 244 DL in the limited "Jubileum" edition, produced in 1977 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Volvo (1927–1977). This is a unique opportunity for a collector, investor or enthusiast of Swedish motoring. HISTORY OF THE MODEL: Why is the "Jubileum" version so unique? In 1977, exactly half a century passed since the factory in Gothenburg The first Volvo ÖV4 rolled off the assembly line (April 14, 1927). The company's authorities decided to create a strictly limited, exclusive series of 3,000 copies of the 244 DL model - next year the car celebrates its 50th anniversary! The cars in this series differed from the civilian versions, among others: 1. Dedicated Metallic Silver paint with a double, decorative black and gold line running along the body embossing.2. A commemorative plaque on the dashboard signed with the name and surname of the then CEO of the concern, Pehr G. Gyllenhammar, who managed Volvo in the years 1971-1990, and a note from the first owner - in 1977, the manufacturer also placed a commemorative plaque of the first owner in the car, which, together with the purchase invoice, has survived to this day 😉3. Luxurious interior finish in a beautiful turquoise color and unique emblems produced exclusively for this model. MECHANICAL CONDITION, MILEAGE AND TECHNICAL DATA• Engine: 2.1 Petrol (B21A, 100 HP manualx4) - indestructible, iconic "Redblock" unit with a carburetor, fired occasionally on choke😊• Mileage / Odometer reading: On the dashboard currently shows 44,000 km. The meter was replaced in Sweden by the previous owner, of which I was honestly informed on the day of purchase. I estimate the actual mileage of this car at approximately 240,000 km - which, for the armored B21 engine and the Volvo design from that period, means only proper running-in condition.• Technical condition: The car is fully functional, verified and checked at a diagnostic station.• Chassis and braking system: In excellent condition, the car drives extremely confidently and stably. Recent service work:• Complete timing belts and tensioner replaced.• NEW installed radiator.• Fully functional windshield washer and headlight wiper system.• The engine has been refreshed visually and mechanically (which can be clearly seen in the photos).• The tires are like new, even though I bought them a few years ago.• Curiosity/Rarity: An additional parking heater was installed in the car at the factory in Gothenburg (original Swedish assembly). I have not started it and I am leaving it in its original condition for a new enthusiast. EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR• Interior: Perfectly preserved, 100% original, it came from Sweden.• Body: Refreshed with attention to detail - replaced rear wheel reperatures, protected and replaced with new spare wheel wells, repaired defects on the windshield, outside the car, painted bottom preserved.• Details: Replaced rear mud flaps, dedicated emblems and new matching original Volvo mats.• An additional set of restored original Volvo 244 rims.• Audio: A working radio with a classic mono speaker - provides an unforgettable audio experience from the 1970s. HISTORY IN POLAND (2017 - PRESENT)The car was imported to Poland in 2017. It has been in my hands for almost 10 years. Throughout this time, the car has been garaged, cared for and has never seen snow or road salt in Poland. Used only for recreational purposes on clear days and for events and rallies of vintage vehicles, including: • Night of Volvo Museums in Warsaw • Jarosław Classics • Meeting of Classics, e.g. Pałac Jabłonna, Nieporęt, Tor Służewiec • Youngtimer Warsaw PGE / Youngtimer by Night• Autonostalgia• Ptak Oldtimer Warsaw and many others.
