Bean Cars was a brand of motor vehicles made in England by A Harper Sons & Bean, Ltd at factories in Dudley, Worcestershire, and Coseley, Staffordshire. The company began making cars in 1919 and diversified into light commercial vehicles in 1924. For a few years in the early 1920s Bean outsold Austin and Morris.

Bean suffered financial difficulties and the steel-maker Hadfields Limited took it over in 1926. The launch of an under-developed new model in 1928 worsened sales, and the company stopped making cars in 1929. Hadfields continued Bean commercial vehicle production as "Bean New Era" until June 1931. In 1933 Hadfield re-launched the company as Beans Industries, making components for other motor vehicle manufacturers.

This very rare Bean Model 12 4 door convertible is a 1925 model. The car comes with the original buff logbook, a later style v5, the newest style v5, original handbooks, a large amount of paperwork, and lots of old MoTs. The vendor states that the car starts, runs and drives well, with an electric start conversion fitted discreetly under the dash. It has a 4 speed plus reverse gearbox, and runs on unleaded fuel.

The car is wood framed, and is in very good condition. It is complete with all its correct original parts, including the engine and gearbox, making it a matching numbers car. It has had only 1 former registered keeper. It has always been kept in a garage, and is a lovely usable classic that would be great for the coming summer. There are only around 80 bean motor cars believed to be left in existence, and only 12 of this model remaining.
