Verkäuferkommentare zu 1934' Citroen Rosalie 10 Rosalie
This incredibly rare Slough built RHD Citroen 10 Rosalie was first registered on the 1st September 1934 and still retains its original registration mark and brown ‘buff’ logbook dating back to 1948. From 1948 to 1965 the Rosalie was with one owner in Bournemouth, changing hands locally. The car sold again in 1967, staying in Bournemouth for another 11 years, leaving for Windsor in 1978 having spent 30 years in the same South Coast town. The old style log book confirms the car has always been the same colour combination and it is accompanied by an extensive history file that includes an MOT certificate dating back to 1965.
BKL 104 was purchased by the last owner in 1988 and has been subject of some fairly major restoration work over the past 29 years. The body was completely removed from the chassis, the chassis was then painted and the body stripped to bare metal and re-painted. A new fabric roof insert was fitted, the interior re-trimmed with leather upholstery, new door cards, carpets and fur-flexes. The engine was de-coked, instruments overhauled, the petrol tank re-furbished, carburettor serviced, brakes overhauled with new cables fitted, the car re-wired and various new parts fitted to include new bumpers, rear lights, hub caps and new exhaust.
The Citroen has come to us running well; it drives incredibly well with a lovely four speed gearbox and strong engine holding good oil pressure. Before road use we would recommend new tyres, attention to shock absorbers and wiper motor, cleaning and checking the brakes due to lack of use, basically some minor jobs as the car has been off the road a number of years undergoing a long term restoration. The paintwork presents very well, but ideally the radiator grill, door handles, headlight surrounds and bonnet catches would benefit from re-chroming. The interior is delightful with lovely leather, excellent carpets and door cards. The Rosalie is ideal for someone looking for a few weeks of ‘tinkering' and then using and enjoying this rare car over summer months. This is a very rare car and Slough built examples are becoming increasingly hard to find.
