Land Rover Series 1 80” built December 1950, first registered January 1951.
Very original 80 inch example being offered for sale in the only colour available, Bronze Green.
Chassisnumber 1610-1681 shows us that this MY ’51 Land Rover was built as a home market car. The engine with partnumber 245581/21 tells that this is the original engine however it has been renumbered by Rover whilst being reconditioned in 1957.
The series one Land Rover was revolutionary in the way it was simple, useful reliable and also easy to drive. This specific car ticks all the boxes. It starts on the button and shifts easy through all the gears, it is truly fun to drive.
The paint has got the original semi-gloss finish and the overall state of the car is good, technically perfect. With all the correct details this car is a proper collector car, a car for a collector who might actually use it!
One of the practical features on the car are the front freewheel hubs fitted. No permanent four-wheel drive makes it better to drive on roads. A Heritage Certificate is with the car and that is also the only history to it, so far.
