Comentarios del vendedor sobre 1940' DeSoto Convertible
The 1940 DeSoto sales logo stated: “We’re a Long Way from being Millionaires—but We’re Having the Times of Our Lives in the one 1940 with 39 new features Missing is 2-3 or 4 year-old cars”. This slogan reflected the strike DeSoto suffered at the beginning of the 1940 production year. The company came back with an improved DeSoto design that included Chrysler’s Fluid Drive which allowed the car to start and stop without using the clutch. Sales jumped from 11,000 units to 65,000 units, slightly more than the 1939 DeSoto model. This is an excellent example of the 1940 De Soto convertible. It is an all original car that was purchased new in California. Over $80k was spent on the restoration. This car has won several awards and is now a retired Trailer Queen. Exterior is black with a black convertible top. Paint, chrome, and trim are all in top condition. Interior is burgundy with a black painted dash. All interior components present in very good condition. Engine is the original 6-cylinder paired with a 3-speed manual transmission with column shift. Car runs and drives with excellent performance. This incredible 1940 DeSoto convertible is located in PA.
