Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 2 owner 1941 Ford “Woody” Station Wagon in our Louisville Showroom. This 1941 Ford Station Wagon Super Deluxe was first bought by Calumet Farm, Lexington, Kentucky by Reinhardt-Gaidry in 1941. Calumet’s Whirlaway won the Triple Crown in 1941, which adds to the desirability of owning this beautiful Woody Station Wagon. 1946 Calumet Farm had the motor rebuilt, clutch, fuel pump and the top were replaced. The wood was re-varnished along with the metal fender and panels being repainted during this period. The odometer showed 40000 miles. In 1949, Calumet Farm opted to have a new motor and clutch installed with 60000 miles on the odometer. The 2nd owner purchased the car in 1963 from Calumet Farm and lives very near to Calumet Farm to this day. The current owner only had to partially restore it, and has been garaged kept since 1968. Original paperwork from the Ford Dealership in Lexington Ky is in the glove box. The interior of this beauty is clean and simple, just as it would have been in 1941. Pop the hood and everything looks to be as it would have in 1941. The history of this vehicle alone makes it highly collectible with its connection to the 1941 Triple Crown winner! Options for this 1941 Ford “Woody” Station Wagon include; AM Radio, Leather interior and Wide White Wall Bias ply tires with Hub Caps.
