Please do NOT confuse this with the numerous T/Q replicas that abound in the market that have no connection to a Q type whatsoever other than the shape of the body, this car offers the opportunity to own a car that has many of the attributes of a real Q type, not the least of which is the correct type of body, dash AND engine.
This car originally formed part of the Peter Gregory stable and was rebuilt in the early 2000s and then subsequently heavily developed into the superb machine I am offering here. Restored on an original MG PB chassis, the car sports a strengthened chassis, rebored PB engine supercharged with a nose mounted Volumex supercharger and driven via a pre-select gearbox with Q remote.
The engine has a Phoenix counter-balanced crank, matching rods and race pistons. It has just been serviced and tuned, the exhaust refurbished and the whole car checked from front to rear.
The car has been successfully raced at Goodwood, Silverstone and many others. Much history accompanies the car, which has appeared in many publications and carries its VSCC buff form with pride.
The PB is one of the few MGs that can be used in the world famous Mille Miglia, and this would be an ideal car to do it in. If that is a step too far, it offers the ideal entry to all VSCC competition, be it rallys, tours, hill climbs or racing. Fully road equipped, the car has a nice driving position for driver and navigator, magnificent Q instrumentation, new wheels and Blockley tyres. It is way faster than I expected, but the drive is brilliant, with precise steering and excellent road holding. With well over 85bhp,and a most attractive price tag for such an awesome specification, there will be no contest with a T/Q !!
