After a major restoration in the late 90’s, this particular car was cherished for several years, touring the UK including Wales but by 2015 had fallen into disrepair and was destined to be broken for spares when I rescued it in 2017. Although the shell and floorpan were basically sound, many £££’s and hours work over 8 months included: Respray - chrome - trim - engine overhauled - brakes replaced Body: Bonnet, boot, doors all removed. Offside sill replaced, boot lid plated, professional respray. Bumpers re-chromed. Engine: Head skimmed, valves lapped, reconditioned carburettor and distributor, radiator re-cored, stainless exhaust, new fuel pump, new hoses, clips, gaskets etc. Electrics: Alternator conversion, trafficators refurbished, fuse boxes rewired, lighting replaced or refurbished, instrument panel refurbished, radio fitted. Brakes: Drums skimmed, new linings, master and wheel cylinders. Interior: Seats trimmed in hide leather, new door cards and interior trim, wood stripped and lacquered, new carpet set. Other: Five new radial tyres and rim embellishers fitted. Automatic seat belts fitted. Boot refurbished with new panels. (Note: badges not included) Invoice file and schedule shows £12,000 spent.
