Painstakingly restored over a 9-year period using only original parts chassis and engine and certified as a correct CS Petite Sports by The Vintage Sports Car Club
Engine Number 6627 1004cc Manual 3 speed 4 cylinder
Chassis Number 4569
Coachwork by CH duval 2 Seat Boat Tail Body with staggered seating
Huge history file with with all certificates & a full photo album of restoration
I would not think there is a better CS Sport still in existence this is a ultra-rare sports car and is restored to museum quality
As part of the restoration the yellow paint was spotted when the paintwork was stripped Its not suggested that this was an original Amilcar colour, but most likely repainted by a young Belgium who wanted the Belgium racing colours.
This colour was matched and that it is the colour today
Amilcar was founded by Andre Morel and engineer Edmond Moyet to build cycle-cars with sufficient performance for Morel to realize his dream of competition success. Emile Akar, a Paris businessman, and Joseph Lamy, an executive at cyclecar maker Le Zebre, backed Morels and Moyets prototype, which was enthusiastically received. Powered by a diminutive 904cc four-cylinder side-valve engine, Amilcars first model, the CC, commenced production in 1921.
