1940 Buick Century Model 61 Sedan
- This is a rare opportunity to own a very cool classic at a great price. Look around and you won't find many of these old Buicks up for sale and when you do they are usually pretty rough or project cars.
- This 1940 Buick is a body on restored classic that has that luxurious vintage look that you just don't see anymore. - With rear suicide doors and dual side mounts the car demands attention and will have you thinking you need a chauffer to drive you around.
- The body is in good shape and coated in a Bandelier Blue that accents the bodylines nicely. These cars had a ton of chrome and trim all of which you will see nicely mounted in place.
-This year had the split front grill and running lights on the fenders which match the look of the hood ornament giving it a very sleek front end.
- In addition to a lot of chrome there is a lot of glass which is all in good shape as well with a split windshield up front.
- The steel wheels have been painted to match and are fitted with original style hubcaps and wide white wall Firestone tires that look perfect on a car like this.
The split hood opens from each side and reveals the original 320 straight 8 Dynaflash motor. A majority of the engine is painted in the original style Blue paint with Red lettering.
-It starts up well and runs smoothly. It is paired with a 3 speed manual transmission that moves through the gears easily via the 3 on the tree column shifter.
- Other features include the original horns, 1 barrel carb and original oil bath air cleaner.
The interior is complete in Brown cloth with a Blue painted dash. It has bench seats in front and rear and small features like the ashtray in each arm rest in back show you how classy these cars were considered back in the day.
- On the dash you will find all of the original style trim and components except for the radio which is no longer in place. - The original ivory finish shifter knob and steering wheel is there which often prove to be hard to find in good condition.
- The car comes with original shop manuals as well as picture documentation of the rebuild.
