This car was exported new to Sydney in Australia, with Humber Chummy coachwork (unusual at the time) where it was used by a Doctor around the city. It had a tough life there but finally restored through the 1970s and 1980s by a caring owner.
The car has had a rebuild and strengthened rear axle (new CW&P etc) and had been further improved with new front springs to the the correct pattern as well as fully rebuilt king pins and all bushes. The engine also has been rebuilt during the 1970s and has now a rebuilt (rewound) magneto.
As a Colonial spec car it has bronze water pipes and a cooling fan, not found on home-market cars.
The car is strictly a barn-find type condition with poor paint and a hood that is complete but will need repair around the front (where it meets the windscreen).

The 8/18 is a great alternative to the Austin Seven, does go well and has good brakes too but also lovely Humber quality with a right hand gate change etc.
We have too many cars, including other Light car & E section eligible ones, this has to go.
The car comes with a mostly complete spare engine and gearbox as well as three restored rear wheels (narrow section W/B) and new tyres and tubes (last picture), bought in 2020.
