First registered to Barry Foster on 11/9/1983 who built it ‘as new’ in 1987 using an original MG F1 Chassis.
The chassis has been inspected by Barry Walker, well known MG specialist, and the MMM register recognise it as on original chassis.
The bodywork is MG J2 from the windscreen rearwards and newly fabricated forwards in the style of a MGF2 to an original F2 grill. New F2 weather equipment is with the car.
Mechanically the engine is a 6 cylinder Wolseley Hornet unit coupled to a Type 85 pre-select ENV gearbox and rides on the correct type axles. The car has only covered 7558 miles since its build.
It has uprated 12” drums and had new wheels and tyres fitted in 2016
A comprehensive history/restoration file accompanies the car and it has a fresh MoT certificate expiring March 2018.
Well presented in Oxford and Cambridge blue colours and fun to drive. A good car for long distance rallies like Flying Scotsman, 1000 Mile Trial, Mountain Challenge etc
