Commentaires du vendeur sur 1972' Plymouth Duster
1972 PANTHER PINK PLYMOUTH DUSTER MAGAZINE FEATURE CAR!HIGHLIGHTS & SPECIAL FEATURES...440 MAGNUM V8 with Estimated 500HP (Rebuilt) MOPAR 833 4-SPEED Manual Transmission VINTAGE AIR A/c Power Steering 4-Wheel Disc Brakes (Manual) Color-keyed Upholstery Updated Gauge Cluster – brilliantly lit! GRANT sport steering wheel Hand-painted “Panther Pink” and logo art on trunk Beautiful high-quality cover and hand-painted Show Card included Totally re-wired "from headlights to tail-lights" Year One MOPAR 17" Rally Wheels BRIEF HISTORY: MOPAR was an acknowledged muscle-car leader during the 1960s. The Duster was introduced to the Plymouth line-up in 1969 (for the 1970 model year) to give their Valiant a sporty body style to attract younger performance-minded customers. It proved successful. The Panther Pink Duster offered here, began life modestly with a green exterior (so poular in the 1960s), a tame 318 V8, and automatic transmission. Needless to say, the Panther Pink treatment – beautifully accented with the hand painted trunk art/logo – 440 Magnum and MOPAR 833 4-speed gave the car a whole new attitude. The result? It is a “show stopper” wherever it goes, and a “magnet” for admirers whenever it is shown. In fact, it gained sufficient local notoriety to attract LOCAL CAR magazine to do a full-feature on the car last year…quite an honor!ODOMETER NOTE: The mileage indicated is not the actual mileage of the car since new…it is of modern updated electronic design and was installed following the restoration of the car.IMPORTANT IMAGE NOTES: There are over 100 images, because we want to show you EVERY aspect of this fine classic that we can think of.LOCATION: Gainesville, Ga...which is approx. 60 miles northeast of Atlanta. EXCELLENT INVESTMENT – When it comes to the classic 1960s/1970s era of muscle-cars, MOPAR offerings are widely acknowledged as blue-chip investments. Some argue that Chrysler began the muscle-car category with their famed Chrysler 300 of 1955.Also, there is a growing sentiment that the most beautiful cars of this era ended in 1972…because that was the last year that Detroit auto stylists had it “their way” with front/back bumper designs. Federal legislation began mandating those big “park bench” energy-absorbing bumper systems in 1973…and front/back car design hasn’t been the same since. THE FIRST 12 PICTURES will give you a general overview of this one-of-a-kind 1972 Panther Pink Plymouth Duster. But if you are seriously interested...we suggest that you look at ALL 100+ images because we want you to see EVERYTHING. OPERATIONAL REPORT: This Duster performs! The 440 Magnum (w/4BBL Carter) and 833 4-speed are a perfect combination. The 4-wheel (manual) discs give peace of mind in today’s stop-and-go traffic. Power steering makes parking easy. In sum, it is a lot of fun to drive…not for introverts though, you WILL be noticed! You will ride in comfort year-round with the Vintage Air A/C. Brilliantly illuminated updated gauges keep the driver informed at all times.Special Notes: as is the case with most vintage classics, there are a few quirks. There is NO horn, and NO emergency brake. The radio is inoperative. Also, as many Magnum 440 owners know, this engine is difficult to keep cool if you drive it too hard/fast without making additional cooling modifications to the car. The current owner drives legal speeds under 70 in a non-aggressive manner. If the new owner has more ambitious performance plans, upgraded cooling will be required. There is also a small oil leak. The car is very impressive and show-worthy. However, NO car is “perfect” so please expect to find imperfections “here and there” that are consistent with the car’s age and use. At the end of the image strip at right, you will see some examples of imperfections that you should expect.PAYMENT TERMS: A $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is due immediately to hold the car for 3 business days by which time balance payment via bank to bank wire transfer or CASH (NO checks!) is due.
