Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this 1931 Plymouth PA coupe hot rod nicknamed The “Mutt”. This 1931 Plymouth was named the “Mutt” do to the fact that it is far from a purebred Plymouth with all of the upgrades that have been done during its restoration. The seemingly endless list of upgrades starts with the power plant which is a 4 bolt main 383 cubic inch .030 over SBC running at 8.5: 1 compression. This professionally built power full small block has dome pistons, Eagle crankshaft and forged rods, hardened Clevite bearings, Comp cams double roller timing chain and hydraulic roller cam boasting 496 hp and 444 lb-ft of torque. The heads are aluminum 64cc ported straight plug heads with aluminum roller rockers. This beast of an engine is topped with a GMC/Montgomery 4-71 long nose pulley blower mated with a Holley 4250 supercharger 750 cfm double pumper. Backing up the engine is a Wilcox Performance TH-400 automatic transmission w/full reverse manual valve body and 3200 stall 11” converter. The body is an all steel 1931 Plymouth body with a 4 inch chop on the top, suicide doors with shaved door handles and hinges, full fenders and blended visor. The fully boxed and welded, powder coated back halved frame holds an upgraded suspension which is chromed up front and includes a 4 link rear with coil-overs. The interior has been upgraded as well with power seats, tilt steering column, and a full set of aftermarket gauges. This 1931 Plymouth draws attention not only with its styling being the classic that it is, but when you put the pedal down it is sure to turn some heads with the sound of the true hot rod that it has been transformed into. The “Mutt” is ready for its new owner to frequent the weekend car shows in style and just have a blast taking it out for a cruise.
