1957' Porsche 356

n the autumn of 1955 MY'56 entered production on the 356 A-T1; T1 was the Technische Programm 1, the development program aimed at the general improvement of the car which will be followed by another 3 (T2, T5 and T6).
With this model the residual Volkswagen kinship was abandoned by adopting redesigned and recalibrated suspensions while maintaining the torsion bar pattern and a new engine casing in Porsche aluminum alloy 3-piece, furthermore the displacement increased from 1.5 to 1.6 liters. The 1600 Super presented, has 75 HP (Typ 616/2), with distribution by rods and rocker arms and crankshaft on bushes.
The body and the floor underwent a total renewal under the skin with new straight sills, dashboard welded to the body and a curved windshield, leaving the line practically unchanged. The dashboard for the first time had 3 instruments side by side like the rear lights.
The car, chassis 58516, was built and delivered by Reutter in February 1957, as per Porsche certification, in our possession. We also have a bill, dated February 18, 1957 showing the original Sahara Beige color (code 5604) and the 80788 engine is correct for the car. The car between 2014 and 2017 has therefore been restored to its original condition, registered with ASI and now ready for a new collector with a passion for the model.
