Here for sale Wolseley model 7 flat twin 1923 built only for a very short time in the early 1920s.
(she is nick named "BIG BRUM" by my grandchildren)
The car was first registered on the 19/5/1923 in Blackburn Lancashire to a Mr John Hoskins of bank top Blackburn. The supplying dealer was J and S Lever ltd, Eanam, Blackburn, the car still carries the original supplying dealer plate.
She comes with several buff log books includes the original one from 1923, plus a new v5c log book with its original very valuable transferable registration number.
She comes with a record of all her owners from new also some photos from the 1950s when the car was found on a farm in Cheshire.
Comes with the original side screens and also a dickey seat and even has the original tool box.
There are bills and receipts going back many years including a log of the work done when the car was last used which was in the early 1990s.
The colour of this car was originally changed to Yellow when the car was only a few years old which is documented within the original log book. It was freshened up again in the 50s-60s. The colour has generated a lot of warming compliments when she has been showed, people thinking that she is much older than she actually is. The old girl really suits this colour giving her the unique stand out image. She has generated a lot of interest.
The colour represents an earlier style cars, which is usually seen on earlier veteran cars. It was later on in the 20s when cars became much more less vibrant.
The car is very sound and very original. The engine turns over smoothly but as not been run for many years so will need careful re-commissioning.
Obviously she is an old lady and will need some TLC due to her being stood for many years. She has been dry stored for her convalescing years
This is a very reluctant sale of this rare motorcar. I need something that will host my grandchildren who have a growing interest in classic motoring.
I can deliver the car anywhere in the uk please ask. Will consider a Part Exchange for a later classic.
I can forward more detailed pictures to any one who is genuinely interested?
A great opportunity to buy a piece of motoring history.
