GDV 872 is a very rare item because it would seem that it is very much in original order and has not been over restored.
The original brown logbook is to hand and it shows that the van was first registered by Mr E R Wheadon July 1947 and that the Devon reg number is original to the van.
Much of its working life was spent as a bakers van in the area of Beer Devon.
It could be brought up to showroom standard without too much effort but over the many years that I have had the pleasure of being its guardian I have always thought that its honest working vehicle persona suited it best.
Inspection of GDV is welcome.
