The Chevrolet Corvette C4 represents a fundamental generational shift in the model’s history—not only in terms of design, but above all in its construction. Compared with the preceding C3, it received a completely new chassis with significantly greater torsional rigidity, modern wheel suspension, and a transaxle layout that substantially improved the car’s weight distribution. The sharp, functionally shaped body lines reflect the technical thinking of the 1980s, when the Corvette began to focus deliberately on driving precision and handling. A digital instrument cluster, electronic fuel injection, and an overall more refined yet technically more advanced character distinguish the C4 from all previous generations. This 1987 vehicle is equipped with a naturally aspirated 5. 7-liter V8 engine (350 cui), in L98 specification with Tuned Port Injection multi-point fuel injection, designed to deliver high torque at low and medium engine speeds. The body is configured as a roadster with a fully retractable fabric roof, along with the corresponding reinforcement of the load-bearing structure.
