Comentários do vendedor sobre 1975' Ferrari 308 Gt4 Dino

Rosso Corsa | Coupé | 5 Speed Manual | 3.0 litre V8 | 31,691 kms | $165,995

After a 20-year partnership with Pininfarina producing some of the finest and fastest cars ever made, Ferrari turned to Bertone, off the back of their success with the Lamborghini Countach to design its first 2+2 mid-engined V8.

Ferrari engineers also worked closely with F1 legend, Nikki Lauda to develop the exceptional handling dynamics of the GT4, Lauda eventually remarking that the car was “mechanically really good and one of the best Ferrari’s ever made”.

Road & Track Magazine’s 1974 test said “perhaps the most outstanding feature of the Dino 308 is the excellent ride it provides. There is no low-speed harshness and at speed the road irregularities are beautifully smoothed out. The progress, compared to earlier Ferraris, is enormous.”

The 308 GT4 Dino even went racing with Luigi Chinetti’s N.A.R.T. team at the 1974 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Offered here is one of the finest Ferrari Dino 308 GT4’s in Australia. Finished in Rosso Corsa over Crema leather trim this exquisite Australian delivered car was subject to a detailed and lengthy restoration from 2000 to 2007 with Ferrari specialist Ken Ward.

The end result has produced something quite special. Inside, the cockpit carries a methodical finish with the iconic and original Dino switch gear in simply pristine order, the form fitting door trims hold the correct wrinkled leather inserts, the correct carpets are perfectly fitted both within the boot and cockpit, the original seats with fine hand stitched seams are firm and the overall feeling is as if the car rolled of the production floor yesterday.

The engine bay carries the same well-organised finish. Totally rebuilt to a factory standard, nothing is out of place from the correct wiring clips, to the new/old stock rubber hoses, zinc coated nuts and bolts and neatly finished air-intake. All tell-tale signs of a meticulous restoration and well maintained car.

The body-work is much the same with a skin-tight panel fit and a consistent liquid like paint finish complimented by all new runner seals throughout, the original Saint Gobain Sekurit glass and the correct Cromadora Alloys with period correct Michelin XWX tyres.

Accompanying the car is the leather and cloth wallet with instruction book along with a detailed receipt file dating to 1989 with logs of the entire restoration and services invoicing.

Interest in the 308 GT4 Dino is seriously starting to swell as the once considered red-headed step-child of the Ferrari family’s retro design comes back in vogue and collectors/enthusiasts alike learn more of the pedigree and stimulating performance of this properly engaging sports car.

A direct competitor to the Porsche 911 of its time and in many ways an out-performer of the 911, the Ferrari 308 Dino GT4 represents an excellent investment opportunity for the savvy collector and this example; Australian delivered and brilliantly restored is an out and out market leader that won’t be available for long.
