Comentários do vendedor sobre 1982' Ford Transit
This 1982 Mk2 Transit was supplied by Magirus to the German Fire Department in the middle of Germany. It obviously lived all of its life indoors as it has no rust at all and the body is in amazing condition. It is a crew cab model which means that despite being left hand drive it's really easy to use as you have great visibility through the rear side doors. We have owned the van since it was brought into the UK in 2016 (first registered in UK 1/5/16). We continue to keep it inside.
It is MOT'd until May 2nd 2017. It has only ever covered just over 10,000 miles and has obviously been very well looked after. We have fitted a new carburettor with a manual choke (to replace the notoriously unreliable VV auto choke) and given it a full service. It drives as a new 1982 van should. Tyres are all very good Michelin Agilis with 8 to 9mm tread depth all round. It is a 2.0 Pinto engine with four speed manual gearbox. It is fitted with a Ford original tow bar.
We removed the racking from the rear of the van but left the twin fold up seat in the back along with the functioning flashing lights on the roof (which have blue lenses supplied for show use) and the ladder rack which shows its original purpose. The signwriting on the front doors is hand painted, whilst it also has some later German decals added too.
The interior is in excellent condition and everything works as it should. We have recently fitted an new 12mm plywood floor to make it a very useable van. We're only selling as we need the space and it's not getting used as much as hoped.
