Much loved Family car imported new from Australia in January 1967.1st registered in NZ 17th Jan, Mileage 3 miles. Original Australia made sticker still on rear window from 1966.Garaged all its life.This car was so immaculate that after two years the dealers Cooke Howlison of Dunedin offered my Father a brand new model for no charge if he would trade in the HR.The offer was politely turned down.The !86 Engine was reputed to be one of the best of its time.
The car is still in completely original condition and although the Rego is on hold it is given a regular short drive to keep it in good nick.The car still has the original number plates DL37 on hold.
A warrant of fitness inspector recently informed me that the only thing she needs is new tyres and some work on the muffler and tail pipe.An area that was difficult to protect when not driven continually, despite copious applications of CRC.
The Holden still has the original log book, service record and key.
The engine gearbox and radiator system have all been totally reconditioned including all hosing etc.All work receipts are available.
Minor rust on the door bottoms will not affect a warrant and have been treated with rust converter and are inert.
Minor damage to the rear door and Holden badge can easily be repaired.
Having achieved 50 years in such good original condition this vehicle is rare.
