1971' Lotus Elan

An absolutely gorgeous bright red Lotus Elan Plus 2S with superb paintwork.

MOT until January 2021. A much loved but very underused car looking for a new owner.

In 1990 the car had a ground up restoration (carried out by Paul Matty) including a new galvanised chassis, new wiring loom, complete engine rebuild, new suspension, new brakes etc. costing over £7000.

The next owner kept the car for 25 years and no expense was spared judging by the number of receipts in the very thick history folder including converting the headlight lifts to a pneumatic system and a rear drive shaft conversion.

Recent work includes new front springs, new battery, new rear wishbone and bushes, new rear dampers and tubes.

All four wheels look superb and the interior is very tidy. The Webasto roof is smart and functional and lovely on a hot summer’s day.
