Mercedes 280 SL ( 113-series ), 1970H, 4-speed auto, 99,000 miles, fmbsh, dark green ( 268 ), cognac MB-Tex, light brown soft top, factory fitted hard top, power steering, Becker radio. A really beautiful 280 SL Pagoda in one of the most attractive and desirable colour combinations. We sold the car to the last owner in 2008 and it has taken 12 years and be able to wrestle this lovely example back from him ! Supplied new by Hoffman's of Sheffield and serviced by them and europa Cars Ltd up to 1978 and then maintained by recognised Mercedes specialists. The car has benefited from a full engine rebuild by Roger Edwards Motors in 2000 at 74,264 miles and it has only done 99,000 miles today. The last service was in July 2020 less than 500 miles ago. The paintwork is in excellent condition throughout and makes the car really stand out. The underside is extremely tidy and the interior is correct and excellent. This example has been very well cared for by all its custodians and hence its condition today. What is nice about the car is that it has been loved and used rather than just sitting idle in a garage. The cabin is always a very satisfying place to be and the car will always bring a huge smile to anyone's face to be behind the wheel of this car.
