Comentários do vendedor sobre 1971' MG Mgb Gt
Glacier white 1971 MGB with red leather interior and toggle dash. 64k on the clock.
Recently been MOT'd (it had one advisory but this has since been corrected)
Mot till Sept 18
Tax exempt.
The car has been serviced by myself and professionals during my period of ownership, following the Haynes manual guidelines.
The photos show how well looked after and beautiful this car is, it has wanted for nothing. The car is kept in a heated garage.
Attending classic shows, im yet to see another Glacier White MGB GT like mine.
Most have been attacked with veneered dashboards or having boring black or tan interiors.
Tonnes of work done ranging from:
Full restoration in the early 90s with receipts and correspondence to prove.
Uprated grooved and vented front brakes, braided hoses uprated calipers and pads. Halogen bulb conversion (done by a professional mechanic), New boot floor, MK1 badging, MK1 rear lights, period style Lucas front fogs, matching Moto - Lita gear knob and wooden steering wheel, new chrome gear lever, new master slave cylinder, new metal dashboard (car was veneered when I purchased it, so i replaced the old dash with a new one and painted it with the flocked black paint). New distributor fitted and timing done professionally, new heater valve. Headlining replaced. Webasto sunroof. New thermostat fitted. Classic sound USB/Bluetooth stereo fitted, and i still have the blanking plate with Pioneer door speakers. Radio centre console with grill and bezel (very hard to obtain). Oil cooler as can be seen in the photos. Cooper cans with Twin SU carbs.
Car starts first time everytime, cold or hot.
I have extensive service history with this car.
Also have the full size chrome wire spare wheel, jack and copper hammer.
The car has covered 8000 miles with no problems and i've used it to go to shows all over the north of England, including 200 mile round trips.
Everything in this car works. The O/D kicks in when it should, everything electrical works perfectly and the car runs like a dream.
The car is 46yr old and does have a certain Patina to it, this is not a concourse winning car, but it is a very good example of a classic British sports car. It always gets comments wherever it goes.
Genuine reason for sale - i'm after a toggle dash MGB Roadster (interested in px)
The car has had an insurance valuation of £9500
In no hurry whatsoever to sell, i am still enjoying this car, but as i have purchased another classic hard top i am leaning towards an MGB Roadster.
