Comentários do vendedor sobre 1970' MG Midget

This is another cute little Part Exchange that we have just taken in! This is a 1970 MG Midget Mark III, finished in Teal Blue with Black Interior with Wire Wheels, she is a very nicely looked after example showing 145k Miles on the clock with a nearly full service history! Subject to much recent expenditure and an older restoration, she is a fun entry into the classic car world!First introduced in Monte Carlo by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) on the 20th May 1958 and intended as a low-cost model, the Sprite was designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company which received a royalty payment from the manufacturers BMC. The low cost of £669 was achieved by using a mildly tuned version of the A-Series engine and as many other components from existing cars as possible. Manufactured at the MG sports car factory at Abingdon, it was not surprising that the success of the design would lead to an MG version known as the Midget. The final version of the Austin Healey Sprite arrived in 1966 as the Mk. IV. The new model now used a twin carburettor 1275cc version of the proven A-Series engine which it shared with other BMC models such as the Mini Cooper S.Originally registered on 1st May 1970, this MG Midget has been owned by the previous owner for the last eight years and presents in a very good all-round condition, he spent about £2, 500 in the last two years getting the car serviced and she drives nicely and is ready to use or improve. Our car has an immense service history, back to the seventies, with MOT's as well, a very rare sight with an old Midget! Our car has the 1275 engine with excellent oil pressure sound gearbox which is smooth through all gears. the interior is very clean, no rips or tears on original seats and carpets are very good also. The engine runs really well with excellent oil pressure and temperature showing normal. The last owner bought the car from Former Glory, one of the better known MG specialists and, all in all, this is a very nice little midget, in the nicest colours, ready for daily use!
