This is a stunning matching numbers example with a thorough documentation of bills and work carried out. In recent years it has had a complete overhaul of the steering system, rear axle rebuilt, engine mounts replaced, wire wheels re-tuned and painted, original carburetors rebuilt, replacement of original headlamps.

New veneered dashboard fitted with all instruments rebuilt.

The engine was completely overhauled in 1990 and has been regularly serviced since which is shown by the incredibly smooth running engine.

This little MG TA is a real pleasure to drive, holding the road effortlessly, pulling strongly in all gears and braking with ease.

The MG TA Midget replaced the PB in 1936. It was an evolution of the previous car and was 3 inches wider in its track and 7 inches longer in its wheelbase.

The previous advanced overhead-cam inline-four engine was now not in use by any other production car so it was replaced by the MPJG unit from the Wolseley 10 but with twin SU carburetorrs, modified camshaft and manifold. The engine displaced just 1292 cc, and power output was 50 hp The four-speed manual gearbox now had syncromesh on the two top ratios and was connected to the engine by a cork-faced clutch running in oil. Unlike the PB, hydraulic brakes were fitted with 9-inch drums.
